THE Tribune’s very own Jason Taylor has been declared the winner of the Bacardi T-shirt contest.
Mr Taylor, a graphic artist, beat out the competition to claim victory in the “Design with the Bat in Mind” promotional contest.
The T-shirt competition was designed to show the relationship between the Bacardi Company and the islands of the Bahamas. The Bahamas served as host to the Bacardi plant from 1965 until its closing in 2007.
After weeks of receiving submissions for the contest, Mr Taylor was chosen as the winner for his spectacular design that embodied the bond between the Bacardi Company and the Bahamas.
Bacardi developed the T-shirt contest with the aim of giving its brand a fresh and youthful look. By winning the competition, Mr Taylor will have his design featured on a T-shirt and sold as part of the Bacardi Bahamian experience at the new and improved Bacardi Bay Street store.
The store has recently been renovated and is set to open in the near future, giving Bacardi fans and visitors alike a chance to enjoy drinks in the lounge area and shop for spirits and Bacardi merchandise.
