THE bullet-riddled body of a man believed to be in his early thirties was discovered yesterday morning deep in farmland off Faith Avenue.

Head of the Central Detective Unit Supt Paul Rolle said a body was found around 9am lying near bushes on a dirt road, an eight minute drive from the main road.

“Officers responded to the scene where they found a male lying in the street suffering from what appears to be gunshot wounds about the body,” Supt Rolle said at the scene yesterday.

“EMS personal visited the scene where they examined the male and pronounced him lifeless.”

The victim, who had multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso, according to Supt Rolle, is of slim build with a full beard and a distinct tattoo across his stomach that reads “Young Money”.

Police believe the man’s body could not have been there long as rigor mortis had not yet set in.

Supt Rolle refused to say whether a farmer or nearby resident found the body saying, “We received a call, I couldn’t tell you from whom. But there are quite a bit of persons who move about in this area. There are a lot of farmers who occupy these premises.”

The victim was found wearing a pair of jeans, a tan coloured tee-shirt and green, orange and white striped tennis shoes.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them at 919 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.

That area is chock full of bodies. Might as well make it a public cemetery.
