AUTHORITIES want the public’s help in solving three separate violent crimes – one of them a domestic dispute – that has left the victims recovering in hospital in stable condition.

Police said shortly after 1:30 am yesterday, a man was involved in an argument with his girlfriend at a night club at Market Street and Robinson Road. As a result, police said, the man’s girlfriend stabbed him in the neck and fled the scene in her vehicle.

The victim was later taken to hospital where he was said to be in stable condition.

Two men are also in hospital after they were shot in two separate incidents.

On Friday, shortly after 12:30pm, police said a man was sitting in the front of his home at Flamingo Gardens when a man with a handgun shot him in the leg before fleeing the scene.

The second incident happened shortly after 1am on Saturday. A man was walking in the rear of his home at Podoleo Street when a man with a gun shot him in both legs before leaving the scene.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing to anyone with information to call 919 or 328-TIPS.

Meanwhile, police arrested 19 people over the weekend for various crimes.

These include: four arrests for outstanding criminal warrants, two arrests for disorderly behaviour, two arrests for breaching the Immigration Act, one arrest for assault, another arrest for outstanding criminal complaint, one arrest for fraudulent use of a license disc, and one arrest for assault on a police officer, threats of death and disorderly behaviour.

Additionally five people were arrested for outstanding court warrants, one arrest for possession of dangerous drugs and another arrest for unlawful sexual intercourse.

Traffic police also cited 115 drivers for various traffic infractions.

...so was the last one a rape or sexual abuse on a minor? Might be nice to classify these ones more specifically...just throw out there 'unlawful sexual intercourse' sort of downplays what it really could have been...go ahead, use the term RAPE or CHILD MOLESTATION.
