Man dead, another fights for life after shooting

POLICE have launched an island wide manhunt for two men following a shooting incident that has left one man dead and another fighting for his life in hospital.

It happened around midnight off of Sunset Park.

According to police, shortly before midnight, two men were visiting a female friend at home on Sandra Drive, when two men, armed with handguns, emerged from nearby bushes and shot them multiple times.

The victims were taken to hospital in critical condition where one died of his injuries a short time later.

The other man is listed as as serious but stable.

The suspects are described as two dark males who wore white t-shirts and dark pants.

Anyone with information on this latest murder is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.

In my opinion the problem in the Bahamas is that there are too many bushes. Every day I read that killers and rapists emerge from bushes. It stands to logic if all such shrubbery was eliminated these crimes would simply disappear.
