Nation in disarray

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Today with much of the county’s infrastructure in either a state of total disrepair or complete disarray, one word can be used to describe most, if not all, of our government run entities.

DYSFUNCTIONAL!

BEC, the Postal Service, the Educational System, the Court System, the Prison System, the Tax System, Solid Waste Disposal Services, the Police Force and the Passport Office, not to mention the government itself, all dysfunctional.

We should also add BTC to this list as, while they technically are not run by the government, only interfered with, the previous and present governments have both contributed generously to the current precarious state of that organization.

With VAT introduced in its current form in January 2015 added to this bureaucratic morass and with our economy still in shambles and corruption endemic, we find ourselves on the verge of becoming a failed State and soon little more will be needed but to administer the Last Rites and throw the dirt in the hole.

Last rites and dirt in the hole your belief,. We will mourn your passing .but we believe "We are pressed on every side by trouble, But we are not crushed. we are hunted down but not abandoned by God. We get knocked down but we are not destroyed". As long as we have life there is always hope. and with Jesus in the vessel we can smile in the storm.

I thought God's name iwas Jehovah. But I have to agree with general on this one. If you look around you and if you drive on the streets daily, there's nothing Godly about the people and their disregard for others and life itself.

There are those birds that bury their heads in the sand and then those that fly high and have keen eyesight. Those that fly high in this country can see that we have very serious problems that if not righted can and will sink this leaky ship of state. Those that have their head in the sand will see just that, sand. Educate yourself, open your eye's, demand better, if not sand it is, or should I say aragonite.

completely irrelevant. another reason why we are in the mess we're in today. Bahamians focusing too much on stupid friggen things instead of the REAL ISSUES. Grow up man

Why is it that some people seem to only be able to attack the messenger? Simply because one is ignorant does not change the facts. There many second, third, and even fourth-generation Bahamians not named Bain, Rolle or Bastian.

Furthermore, unless you have Indian blood you're not a real Bahamian anyway. Stop with the xenophobia already people and understand that it takes all sorts of people to build a community.

Just for the record, Ian Mabon IS a real Bahamian born and raised here.
Since you obviously don't know the gentleman instead of maligning him why don't to stick to what you're best at, running sheep!

I meant SOAR. I spelled the word wrong, my bad. there are just to many negative people , in the Bahamas who know all the problems and they just complain, But they have no answers . If the Bahamas is so bad and they want to give it last rites and bury this beautiful Country, Planes leave the Bahamas each and every day catch one and go to a perfect Country where ever that is.
