OFFICERS from the Southwestern Division, acting on intelligence, uncovered a shotgun in the Blue Hill Road south area, police said. The officers found the weapon just after 8pm on Tuesday. No arrests were made.

• MOBILE Division officers arrested six people as a result of continued saturation patrols, police said. One person was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and five were arrested for outstanding court warrants. Police also reported 79 drivers were cited and three people arrested during two operations on Tuesday. The Eastern Division operation resulted in 27 drivers being cited for traffic infractions and one arrest for breach of the Immigration Act.

The Western Division operation resulted in 52 drivers cited, one arrest under the Immigration Act, one for an outstanding criminal warrant and two stolen vehicles recovered.
