POLICE have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with murder and the attempted murder of a police officer.
Shortly after 2:30pm yesterday, officers of the Flying Squad found the unidentified suspect at Flamingo Gardens.
The suspect was arrested in connection with the murder of Kenneth Pinder on May 31st and the attempted murder of a police officer on June 11th. The shot officer was a 32-year-old attached to the Mobile Division. The officer was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by three men, one armed with a handgun.
One of the men shot the officer in his chest before the group fled the area on foot.
