THE 2014 graduating class at St Georges’ High School was yesterday encouraged to pursue their dreams and to live their life with integrity by Neko Grant, MP for Central Grand Bahama, who delivered the address at the school’s commencement exercise at the Grand Lucaya Resort.

“As you mark the end of one chapter of your lives and celebrate the beginning of the next, in this new chapter of your life, I admonish you not to let anything deter you from taking those first steps of making your dreams a reality,” Mr Grant said.

He said those who will be entering college would have to sacrifice many things to achieve their dream job.

“You will learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of others, for there is very little learning in success. As you grow, you’ll realise the definition of success changes. Look for opportunities; look for growth; look for impact; look for mission.

“The most important thing in your life is to live your life with integrity, live your lives as honest and compassionate people that contribute in some way,” he said.

Mr Grant said they should pursue careers that will fulfil their lives. “Your niche in life sometimes may not always bring the type of returns expected; but if you are willing to endure the sacrifices, and give a little bit more of yourself, you would find that your niche will fulfil your life beyond your expectations.

Mr Grant presented a Dell laptop computer to the Head Boy and Head Girl.
