A 26-year-old Freeport man is in hospital with serious injuries following a shooting incident in the Coral Reef Estates area. Grand Bahama police have taken two men into custody in connection with the incident.
According to police reports, the victim was at Coral Reef Estates around 8pm on Wednesday when a man he knows approached him. Inspector Terecita Pinder said the gunman fired several shots, hitting the victim in his lower right leg.
She said he was taken in a private vehicle to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where doctors described his injuries as serious. Inspector Pinder said investigations continue.
