A 26-year-old man, out on bail for armed robbery, was arrested late Tuesday night in connection with the armed robbery and murder of 25-year-old Darius Adderley.
According to reports, sometime around 9pm on Tuesday, Darius was sitting in his 2003 Dodge Town and Country Van on Roseland Street with his girlfriend, when a man armed with a handgun robbed them of cash, jewellery and cellphones.
As he was leaving, the suspect shot at the vehicle, hitting Darius in the back. The woman was unharmed during the robbery.
Darius was taken to hospital by ambulance, but died of his injuries shortly after his arrival.
A short while later police, acting on intelligence, arrested the 26-year old suspect in the Quarry Mission Road area. He was wearing a court issued electronic monitoring device at the time of his arrest.
The Tribune understands the suspect was out on bail for armed robbery.
Investigations into this matter are continuing.

What's this intelligence? Question the electronic monitoring device agent and see who is in the area wearing such device, and what the individual has a matter in court for.
