OPPOSITION Leader Dr Hubert Minnis is encouraging all Bahamians to join them in a rally tonight and prove to the “all for me baby politicians” that the country has had enough of their corruption.

Speaking with The Tribune, Dr Minnis said the PLP government is out of control and it is time for the public to stand together and show them “enough is enough”.

“Law and order crime, violence, corruption, spending, unemployment, political victimisation, the cost of living and the flagrant abuse of political power are all out of control. They are doing whatever they like and aren’t checking for the public.

“At the rally, you will hear the truth about what is happening in our beloved country. We must come together and put a check on these ‘all for me baby’ politicians before it is too late. We the people have the power that counts, we can make a difference,” he said.

“Victimisation is at an all-time high, democracy is dying. We have to remind the people from whence we came. Show them we cannot be victimised and we will not be intimidated. We have to speak out and remind them that we are not going back to a dark time in our past. We have right and we cannot allow the government to trample on it.”

The rally begins at 7pm at FNM headquarters on Mackey Street. There are expected to be eight speakers. When asked if the FNM plans to do anything drastic to get the government’s attention, Dr Minnis said, “I cannot reveal the FNM’s plans at this time, but we will not be silent.”

Reds Shirts are the ones who needs be sucking on they red pacifiers. But wait there is still humor hidden in the reds air.“This isn’t a red vision for all Bahamalanders." This is but one of many more planned public relations campaigns to save their own sagging red shirts leadership skins. To deflect away from facing their own leadership failures and much too gone public internal squabbles. Minnis, Loretta, Daron and Dr. Duane are hoping they can reach out to their hard core red supporters, even if their hard core base has dwindled down to the 4-digit numbers since 2012. Comrades we witnessed this PR nonsense with their Red Chairman Daron, who just days ago has latched onto his thing about his constitutional rights having been abused, with the Governor-General being about the only Comrade Bahamalander left standing, who Daron seems to have not accused of being one of them many conspirators to "get" him? Look at the mess left behind by former red prime minister Papa. But wait, there is still humor in the reds air. Whilst the former PM is never seen with Minnis and Company, it does seems the former and present PM's are still meeting as dear friends and former trusted law partners, to enjoy a good buddy chat and laughter. And, we does know how Hubert has one Idi Amin, like jolly laugh track.

There is no substance in what he had to say, it all seems to be the rants of a man gone mad, crazy. . he loves his democracy claims. But does he really have any facts at all to back up all of these claims he is making?. Now it has become clearer why their Papa Ingraham never allowed them to speak..

The sad fact is that ALL politrickan$ in this country are regarded as "all for me" corrupt people. I would not trust a Bahamian poltrickan as far as i could throw him or her. Them and theirs have ruined this fine country in their bid to enrich themselves.

He's the lesser of many evils, i'd take my chances with Minnis over many of the other politicians. Fact is he's a terrible politician & that's why I like him.. The more i study the situation people like Minnis can play a major role in the solutions. Unfortunately charisma wins over actual substance and character. Guys like him and BJN are just in the wrong positions & should never be politicians. Their craft is medicine not telling lies all day or stealing from the people. These men are qualified to perform in true professions in the private sector. They talk out the Ass many times but i never group them in with the usual PLP or FNM career politicians..

That's true. Dr Minnis is not a political leader... he's a very nice man tho. And a pretty good physician. Unfortunately, those characteristics don't translate to the political arena.

No we are not better than this. This is what you call the status quo and it sinks to the lowest common denominator. And what is the lowest common denominator in this country? The same garbage you see in the majority of the comments here. Everyday is election day in this country, *every* *single* *day*.
