PLP dubbed 'abysmal failure' by Minnis

“ABYSMAL FAILURE” is how Free National Movement leader Dr Hubert Mininis described the current government’s performance in the past two years since being elected to office.

The opposition leader made this and other remarks last night to scores of party supporters outside their Mackey Street headquarters, in what was dubbed the beginning of the party’s “assault on this talking, do-nothing, promising, all-for- PLP Government.”

“(Perry) Christie says when he speaks to the nation tomorrow (Wednesday) he will speak on some of what he considers his Government’s achievements. He should tell us what and for whom he achieved whatever it is he has fixed in his mind that he has achieved because we cannot see anything,” the FNM leader said.

“We know what this PLP Government has not done.  We know what they can’t do: many simple things to make life easier for countless Bahamians,” he added.

The MP for Killarney went on to chastise the government’s failure on crime, the economy, opening the new critical care block at the Princess Margaret Hospital, opening the newly built international airport in Abaco, opening the Children and Adolescents Facility at Sandilands, bringing a constitutional referendum to the people concerning equal rights for women under the constitution, among other things.

Dr Minnis said the Progessive Liberal Party government has failed the people on every front and despite their claims that they would put Bahamians first if elected, “they have done the opposite.

The FNM party leader’s remarks were preceded by his chairman’s request that Bahamians should “roll” the government out of office and the deputy leader’s promise that the FNM will free the country from the PLP’s misrule “yet again.”

Darron Cash took to the podium and said that Bahamians, like himself and the party, “have made a determination to roll them at this two-year mark. It’s time to roll them out.”

“Someone said to me today,” he told the crowd, “ it’s cheaper right now to give all of the cabinet ministers a package. Cheaper to fire them than keep them around for another three years.”

“Nobody knows what is going on in this Christie government. The Christie government is a government that is failing and one in need of adult supervision. In fact it’s gotten so bad on cabinet that the prime minister decided that because no one is listening to him, he’d spend the rest of his time flying around the globe making speeches outside of the country.”

FNM Deputy Leader, Loretta Butler-Turner, said that the FNM “rescued this country before from PLP misrule. We will do so yet again.”

“This government long ago lost its authority because of its wasteland of broken promises, failures and massive incompetence. Added to all of this is the abuse of power. It is the PLP way to seek power in order to enrich them,” she said.

“They make all kinds of outrageous promises in order to win an election. But once they get in it’s all about their personal business at the expense of the Bahamian people. Now they will stoop to many lows to maintain that power.”

“They victimize and intimidate. They abuse the public purse and their privileges. Now they are abusing our freedoms. No amount of warrants, no amount of threats, will frighten us. We are all together in this fight. We are one,” she concluded.

And, they want gangs not wear they colours? Only upstairs at The Tribune offices would they find a way not to bring further embarrassment to their infighting, already popularity troubled red shirts hierarchy, by slipping in a claim of there having been "scores" of red party supporters outside the reds Mackey Street Party Headquarters last night. Understandably, why would the Tribune do anything to expose the big red lie.

That's because Tal requires the good graces of the PLP for bread and butter. And a meager bread and butter it is, because Tal has to swallow a lot of pride and truth to go with that bread and butter.

It is undeniable that this administration has been an unmitigated disaster thus far. However, the FNM has performed poorly in opposition. If ever there was a time for a third party to emerge it is now. The people are hurting, they are losing hope and they are angry. Who is going to step forward and offer a credible alternative to this bunch of failed politicians?

Minnis couldn't even get his (7) House of Assembly MP's to show up last night. Comrade Banker, say what you want but even though it was well publicized the Numbers Houses were offering gambler's dream odds, if Papa Hubert showed his face, truth is, my own numbers sources have confirmed, that while a raft of your fellow Comrade red shirts, did in fact phone-in with claims of sightings of Elvis, not one call flowed-in, claiming they actually spotted Papa. within miles of last night's red shirts street corner mini red tent circus. Loretta was there, how often can she get away with using her, I have be in Long Island excuse, on her leader? Oh yeah. for years the Numbers Houses will pay you major thousands dollars, for a certifiably Elvis sighting.

I can't make head or tail of what you are trying to say. It is all nonsensical jabberwocky. Can you clearly state what you are saying without these non-descriptive non-sequitors that pepper your comments? Quite simply, it is gibberish.

Sorry man, Ping destroyed the country and sowed the seeds of despair when he sold our birthright to the Columbian cocaine cartels. We are paying for the sins of the father. The PLP is the root cause of the problems of the Bahamas today. And this mortal, putrid legacy of Ping's extends to Perry Christie.

Ping did not sell $40M in blue collar work permits at $1,500.00ea which amounts to 26,666.66 foreign non essential workers occupying jobs that Bahamians could do, leading to the worst unemployment caused crime disaster in Bahamian history.

Ping did not flood the country with foreign workers that hoard or repatriate income rather than spend and circulate money through the local economy. $Millions are repatriated weekly!

Ping did not borrow $400M for road works & infrastructure improvements and give the contracts for the work to foreign companies causing massive amounts of money to leave the system during the worst recession in living memory.

Ping did not sell 51% of a strategic state owned asset (BTC) conservatively valued at $600M to known telecom failures for $100M then run and hide when the poop hit the fan.

Ping did not borrow $Millions to build the hospital extension with specifications that were known useless even before groundbreaking and allow untold $Millions to disappear into
thin air.

NO SIR....NOT PING....THE FNM.....ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DESTROYING THE COUNTRY.

OFF THE TABLE FOR GOOD!
