Shooting deaths are becoming a daily occurrence. The Lord only knows how many more young men will lose their lives in this way before the year is out. But hey, don't mention that New Providence is out of control or the DPM will accuse you of being sensationalist. The PM doesn't regret putting up the billboards at the last election but wouldn't do it again!!!! Work that one out. This country so badly needs a leader who will lead and we need help from outwith to fight this scourge of lawlessness. Why are our politicians so afraid to bring in the help from overseas that is so desperately needed? How many more young men need to die before decisive action is taken?

Coming from a young male like me, Living in New Providence is like living in a war zone. The reason why crime is so high here is because the laws are not enforced properly which results in criminals doing what they want to do without any fear for the law. What the government of the Bahamas needs is to implement stricter laws and and enforce them to the fullest and harsh punishment for law breakers. If I was the Prime Minister today I would have transform New Providence into a police state and everyone will respect the laws of the land.Too many young men dying senselessly now. Its time we act

If the police concentrate there efforts on through the side corners instead of parading around with air condition on full blast , in these new pretty white and blue car , then they may yell more result. Far too often i see young men hanging on the blocks in groups , created problems , drinking , smoking , swearing and all manner of odd things ..........only to see police cars pass them by without a word. i often wipe my eyes as to say are they blind or just don't want to be bothered . Lets get real , the officers lives in some of these crime hot spots too , they know who is who , they grow up with some of these lawless guys.Perhaps we need overseas help , where no family or friends connections are .
