All roads lead to Mangrove Cay this weekend for its Mother’s Day Homecoming and Regatta.

Until May 11, there will be C class races, Andros food and entertainment galore. The Crab Man himself, Elon, the Royal Bahamas Police Force Pop Band and Foxy and the Boys will be entertaining visitors.

Flamingo and Lee Air will be departing every hour. David Rolle, the committee president says “regatta enthusiasts will get to enjoy sloop racing, as has been done for more than 100 years in Andros. Most people think that Exuma was the first, but sloop racing started in Andros in 1896 with the sponging boats. It then spread to Cat Island, Long Island and Exuma.”

He added: “We are especially pleased for the support of Kalik, the Beer of the Bahamas.”
