A 24-year-old male resident of Bimini has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of an American visitor on the island.

Inspector Terecita Pinder reported that police received information around 3am on Monday that three men robbed a visitor at a resort of $800 cash and other personal items.

Investigations are continuing.
