A WOMAN was raped by a man who came to her home around 1am yesterday, police said.
According to police, the woman was at her Hay Street home when a man she knew visited her home and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot.
This comes a day after another woman was raped.
On Wednesday police said a woman was sexually assaulted when a man forced his way into her home early that morning.
The woman was at her home on Gibbs Corner when a man gained entry around 1am Wednesday.
He sexually assaulted her before fleeing the area on foot, police said.
A week ago police warned residents to be careful because of a recent spate of rapes.
Last week Tuesday Supt Paul Rolle, head of the Central Detective Unit, told The Tribune that the police are not sure what has caused the increase in reported rapes. However, police are very concerned about the frequency of the sexual assaults.
As of yesterday, six women have reported rapes in the past four weeks.

Where this sudden burst of negative sexual energy suddenly coming from in our men? Or could it be that people are finally exposing this crime by reporting them? These guys need to be dealt with severely! Where is the voice of the Christian Council?? OR do we need a gay cruise ship to come into port to wake them up!
