Baha Mar features on special stamps

Baha Mar has been selected as one of the ‘game changers’ in tourism during the unveiling of a series of special commemorative stamps honouring the 50th anniversary of tourism in the Bahamas.

Designed by Baha Mar’s creative services manager, Nadine Schuermann, the commemorative stamp showcases the silhouette of the $3.5 billion gaming resort.

Baha Mar will introduce four luxury hotel brands to the Bahamas in late Spring 2015 – the Grand Hyatt, Rosewood, SLS LUX and the centerpiece, the Baha Mar Casino & Hotel.

“As a Bahamian, it has been an honour to design the historic stamp that will mark the opening of Baha Mar,” Ms Schuermann said.

Accepting the first set of $0.50 stamps at Pompey Square today, Baha Mar’s senior vice-president for government and external affairs, Robert Sands, said Baha Mar is poised to revolutionise the tourism industry.

“Baha Mar is transforming tourism in the Bahamas. We are more than just a luxury gaming resort. Baha Mar represents the soul and culture of the Bahamas, and our most valuable asset – the people of the Bahamas – will make this resort a success,” Mr Sands said.

The commemorative stamps were commissioned as part of a collaborative effort between the Postmaster General and the Ministry of Tourism.

How can it be a game changer when the thing is not even close to open yet? Jumping the gun maybe?

why don't you get out there and be a "game changer" then...? Be grateful there are job opportunities even if BM isn't open....

Funny that there are stamps here in Bahamas, but no one mails anything since the mail service is pretty much nonexistent....pittiful waste of talent to design this but majority of people will never see.....
