A MAN and a woman are fighting for their lives in hospital after they were shot multiple times on Thursday night.
According to reports, shortly after 9pm the two were in a vehicle at Major’s Road in Yellow Elder Gardens when the occupants of a silver coloured vehicle fired several shots at them.
The man was shot multiple times in his body and the woman was shot in her abdomen and thigh. They were taken to hospital by ambulance where they are both listed in critical condition.
Officer in charge of the Central Detective Unit, Supt Paul Rolle, said police have no motive for the crime and no one is in police custody. Sources close to the matter said the male victim was “very well known to police”.
Investigations continue.
Police are also on the hunt for the person responsible for stabbing a man in his head on Thursday around 10:30am.
According to reports, two men were involved in a fight on Baillou Hill Road South which resulted in one being stabbed in his head with a knife.
The victim was taken to hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
