A 16-year-old boy is in hospital and a teenager is in police custody following a stabbing incident at Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama, on Friday.

Inspector Terecita Pinder reported that shortly before 2pm two boys were fighting at Bartlett Hill when one was stabbed in the abdomen.

EMS personnel were called to the scene and the victim was taken to Rand Memorial Hospital for treatment. She said a 17-year-old boy has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
