Boy killed by electric shock is identified

POLICE have identified the eight-year-old boy who died after an apparent electrocution on Friday afternoon as Kaden Brown, a resident of Coral Harbour.

The Tribune reported yesterday that a family fun day at the pool of the Orange Hill Beach Inn on West Bay Street came to a tragic end when the boy was electrocuted and killed after he came into contact with an air conditioning unit.

According to police, the child who was with several relatives, had just finished swimming in the pool when it is claimed he touched the unit and was shocked.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died, police said.

Central Detective Unit Superintendent Paul Rolle said last night police will conduct an autopsy and expect to have the results by tomorrow. He said the case file also will be sent to the coroner for investigation.
