EDITOR, The Tribune.
Minister of State for Works and Urban Development Arnold Forbes’ handling of the “investigation” into whether or not the fourteen BAMSI contracts are insured would appear to be nothing more than a grace period extended to government’s crony contractors to get their documents in order.
In my view, this is further reinforced by Forbes’ unwillingness to reveal to the public whether or not these insurances were issued before or after the dormitory fire and the subsequent “investigation”.
Forbes comments that “he didn’t get into all of that because he didn’t have to” glaringly highlights that the government view of transparency is as clear as mud, and while the allegations currently swirling around Alfred Gray are as serious as they are distracting, let us not lose sight of the BAMSI donut by focusing on the hole.
After all it is our money!

Well said Mr. Mabon. Mr. Forbe's protection of the current government's short comings is to be commended. However, I fail to appreciate why he would lay his head on the chopping block for these crooks is beyond me... unless of course he is neck high in all the shit!
