Two in hospital after shootings

In the first incident, shortly after 1.00am, a man was involved in an argument with a male relative of his at a home in Joan’s Heights, that resulted in the relative shooting him in the arm before fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

In the second incident, shortly after 1.30am, a man was walking on Augusta Street, when he was shot in the arm. He was taken to hospital and is also said to be stable.

If it is legally possible they need to start bringing gun possession charges against these people separately from the murder and shooting charges. That way they can get them off the streets quicker and keep them in jail until their murder case come up.
