There is going to be a change in the crime element in the Bahamas. This may be the end of the 1980's and 1990's drug and cocaine babies Bahamian. Because of the tight and long lasting economic recession Bahamian mothers are no longer raising their children on material things. Gone are the days when mothers were buying even infant children $90 Jordan tennis and polo and tommy brand clothing. More importantly many young men are taking a genuine in their children and taking an active part in their lives. Even when the relationship breaks down between them and the mothers, more fathers, especially the young ones, are applying for joint custody or more visitation rights because they genuinely want to be a part of their children's lives. The benefits of this will be seen as less and less children turn to crime and gang activity. The biggest concern in the near future is for the children of those 100 plus young men when they grow up. How will they react to growing up fatherless. How will they cope when they get to understand that their daddy was taken from them at an early age by some murderer. So yes we will see a decrease in violent crime and murder as some family values are restored. Then it's left to the powers that be to ensure that social values are maintained and also that person's do not turn to crime because there are no economic activity.

Also young women are realizing that is is no longer easy to use a child as an economic tool to tax a man or a social tool to lock him down.

I am sorry to hear the fact that there are so many accidents occuring nowadays just because of the lack of attention. I am sure that these kind of fights can be easily removed out from our daily schedule if we just pay attention at the maneer that we express ourselves in the relations with another persons.

The bible explains our current crime crisis : "the fathers have eaten sour grapes", (drug dealing and materialism and break down of family values in the 1980s and 1990's). "And put their children's teeth on edge." (Murder and violence and drug turft wars and gang activity we face today.). We must restore our values and bring an end to the production of "fatherless fathers". Who (for lack of affection and a crisis of identity) will continue to wreak havoc on society.

Well if we attribute what's happening today to the bible, then things will only get worst, not better. So even if we do the things you are suggesting in the latter part of your comments we are still doomed!
