Interesting that comments are enabled for every other article except the rich woman's murder case. The Tribune needs to do better.

Catch yourself son....Traditionally the Tribune does not allow comments on rich white influential people.

The amount of white collar crime committed by influential white people that go totally unreported in Bahamas is absolutely staggering beyond mind boggling.

That is so true!

Another white collar crime against the Bahamian people is the one with the Former Chamber of Commerce head who is now the head of a landscaping company who has 'allegedly' cheated Shareholders and The Government??? Why are we not hearing more on this situation?

So is the article (three stories above this) on the "alleged" drug dealer"s (Melvin Maycock) extradition case open for comments? Of course it isn't!!

Any case being heard in court is subject to limitations on what can and cannot be printed in the press.

As the comment

Actually, I don't think the Tribune allows comments on any articles relating to matters before the courts.

Exactly. And the press is also constrained on how it reports the case before the courts. It has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do whether a person is rich or poor, black, brown or white, Bahamian, American, Haitian or whatever.

Comrades where in the hell has the "privately" owned Port Authority been on the Freeport's escalating crime? If they are incapable of quickly nipping in the butt - such brazen acts of violent aggression against residents and visitors alike, how long before they become the murderous second capital of the nation?
