A 16-year-old boy died in hospital last Thursday after he was hit by a car as he attempted to cross a highway on his bicycle.
The accident happened on Wednesday, January 28, on Tonique Williams Darling Highway.
According to police, shortly after 7pm, the teen was attempting to ride his bicycle across the highway when he was hit by a 2001 Honda Civic driven by a 21-year-old man.
The victim was rushed to hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
He died in hospital nine days later.
Police have identified the victim as 16-year-old Cristian Alexander Mott, of Graham Drive, Yellow Elder Gardens.
Investigations are continuing.
