A WOMAN accused of jury tampering will learn today whether she will be granted bail ahead of trial.

Anishka McPhee, 52, of Pinewood Gardens, appeared before Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis yesterday facing the charge of obstruction of justice, allegedly committed on February 17. It is claimed that she held improper conversations with a sitting juror in an ongoing trial.

McPhee, however, denied the allegation and pleaded not guilty to the charge that carries a term of imprisonment.

Magistrate Rolle-Davis said McPhee will return for a bail hearing on February 26 before remanding her to the Department of Correctional Services.

McPhee has retained lawyer Tai Pinder to defend her.
