THREE men from Jubilee Gardens will stand trial in four months time in connection with last weekend’s seizure of more than $100,000 worth of marijuana.

Roger Duncan, 19, Franson Moss and Ali Darville, both 22, stood before Magistrate Andrew Forbes each on a count of conspiracy to possess dangerous drugs with intent to supply and possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply.

However, the three accused men pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Around 2:30am on January 16, Drug Enforcement Unit officers acted on a tip that led them to execute a search warrant at a home located at Jubilee Gardens.

It resulted in them discovering four crocus bags containing 123 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $123,000.

Magistrate Forbes informed them that they will return before him for trial on May 13.

However, given the nature of the offences, the court did not have the jurisdiction to consider bail.

He advised them of their right to apply for bail to the Supreme Court before remanding them to the Department of Correctional Services.

The men face up to seven years’ imprisonment if convicted.
