POLICE are have mounted an "intense" search of New Providence for an armed suspect responsible for the shooting death of a man on Sunday night in Fox Hill.
According to reports, around 9pm, a man was attending a party at Edgecombe Terrace when a male armed with a handgun approached and fired several shots at him before fleeing on foot. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending identification by next of kin. It is the country's 86th murder of the year to date according to The Tribune's records.
