A HAITIAN man was allegedly shot in the head by police in Eleuthera yesterday, according to reports reaching The Tribune last night.

Immigration Director William Pratt confirmed the shooting, but was unable to provide any further details. It was rumoured that the incident occurred as the result of an argument between the man and immigration officials.

The man is believed to be in stable condition at a local clinic.
