COMMONWEALTH Brewery has continued its move to modernise its retail business with the opening of a new store on Shirley Street.
President and Managing Director Hans Neven said the store’s opening on Friday marked the first in a series of steps the company will take to enhance the experience of its customers.
“We have 51 stores all over The Bahamas, on nine different islands, including 23 in New Providence,” he said. “We are the leaders in the industry and by far the leading beverage company and our customers deserve to receive quality service. The first step is to upgrade our stores, even to expand some stores.”
In time, the company expects to hire new people, although that may not take place with its new store, which will replace the store adjacent to it.
One employee of the store said: “We are going to revolutionise the way we do retail so not only will you see the stores change as far as appearance is concerned but also a transformation in service throughout the country.”

I think these shops are very nice and the beer is great! I buy a big case of it every time I come across one of these shops. It would be great if they start opening up more shops. I'm sure a lot of people would buy they're products. [Anne][1]
