AN American man was arrested at the airport in South Bimini after a loaded pistol was allegedly found in his travel bag on Monday.
According to reports, police officers searched a 34-year-old male visitor around 9am at the airport and discovered a black 9mm Beretta pistol with one clip, containing 17 live rounds of 9mm ammunition in a camouflage bag.
The firearm was not licensed and the man was arrested and taken into police custody. Investigations are continuing into the matter.
