LEAGUE
THE most valuable players (MVP) in City Bowling League competition last night was a red hot Kevin B Williams of Genuine Knights who mowed down the pins for a 270 second high game and a gigantic 708 three game set.
Williams became only the second player of the current season to join the prestigious 700 club. His 708 set also leads the club by surpassing Lee Davis’ 706, which was shot two weeks earlier.
Sonith Lockhart of Carib Construction had a big night also with a 276 high and a 620 second high set.
The ladies’ MVP of the evening was Angie Smith of Reach Crusaders with a 223 high game and a 544 high three game set. Smith was followed by Joy Lockhart of Coca Cola Strike Force with a 551 second high set.
The second high game was a 194 from Uchena Delva of Island Game Strokers.

THE New Providence Volleyball Association regular season play is scheduled to continue 7:30pm tonight at the DW Davis Gymnasium.

THE New Providence Oldtimers Softball Association is slated to return to action over the weekend of November 7-8.
BSC TRACK MEET
BECAUSE of the public holiday weekend, the Baptist Sports Council has announced that it will move its 2015 track and field competition from Saturday, October 10 to Saturday, November 14.
The event will be held at the Thomas A Robinson Track and Field Stadium.
At that time, the BSC will attempt to introduce its battle of the band, step and banner competitions between the various associations within the Baptist organisation.

SOFTBALL
CLASSIC
THE Baptist Sports Council has announced that its 2015 softball classic will begin at the Banker’s Field in the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex on Saturday, November 7.
The league will feature competition in the under 15, under-19, co-ed and men’s division.
The registration fee is $200 per team per division.

DINNER
THE Rising Star Youth Baseball & Softball Development League, with a wish to recognise the pioneers of both sporting disciplines on Grand Bahama, will show its respect for their efforts during a dinner at Le Chateau on the Green, Freeport, on Saturday, November 28.
