MISS Earth Bahamas Darronique Young began her work as a “beauty with a cause” when she met with principals of the Bahamas National Trust, to which she is assigned for a year.

As the queen whose focus will be on the environment, Ms Young will work closely with BNT on its national campaign of building resistance during her reign.

Specifically, she will concentrate on mangrove and coral reef protection.

Ms Young will represent the Bahamas at the 2015 Miss Earth pageant, to be held in Austria on December 5.
