Re: ‘Tasteless’ painting comparing PM to Hitler causes a stir.

The Tribune, October 19

In a rational mind, there is absolutely no comparable similarity between our PM and the Nazi leader, Hitler.

This suggests the painting is not only “tasteless” but also a specious misrepresentation.

However, it is alarming that the evil arson fires at Gamble Heights do bear a fledgling but eerie similarity to the Nazi Kristallnacht.

You are right Dr. Knowles. You cannot compare Hitler and Christie. Hitler was a lot smarter, better liked in his country, not fat, didn't kowtow to foreign powers, could put together a plan and execute it, and patriotic to his country. Christie is none of those.

Please birdie, I know that you are PLP and as a result are severely cognitively challenged, so I will take the time to explain what Dr. Knowles said about the fires.

Pay attention. Do not chew bubble gum or fart when you read this because those activities will overload your head, and it might retard your comprehension. Just play close attention. Dr. Knowles is pointing out that there could be a similarity, perhaps not based on coincidence, that the night of fires directed at a certain segment of the population, incited by the Nazi government against the Jews, might bear resemblance in the Bahamas to the fire in the area of a certain segment of society -- the migrants, and that fire could have been incited by the actions of the present day Bahamian government.

See look at the similarities.
A. Despised group of people.
B. Government campaigning against them.
C. Fires to destroy their homes.

True for the Nazis against the Jews, and true for the fire in Gamble Heights. See the similarities in the three points? Do you have enough brain cells to see how they MAY be seen as similar? That is all Dr. Knowles is saying. He is intimating nothing, just noting a similarity.

How you get the idea that he knows who set the fires, is beyond comprehension. Perhaps it is because you are a PLP supporter.

It is a known scientific fact that PLP apologists have exactly one more brain cell than the surrey horses. The function of that brain cell is to prevent them from involuntarily defecating through the sphincter, but not necessarily through the mouth. Otherwise surrey horses are perhaps smarter in many ways.

Banker The fires could be incited by the actions of the government. the government campaigning against them, Where did you get this foolishness from. They were illegal shanty towns. Now listen here at one time I use to believe you were one of the sane person on this site. Now I believe you may be an insane person. I have never ever imagined that some one could write such utter nonsense . You wish to blame the government because persons set fires?

You are still not getting it birdie.

Let me try again. Here is another example that you may understand. Suppose a man comes home from work early, and sees a strange bicycle in the drive. This is strange. Instead of going in, he peeks through the bedroom window, and quickly gets a glimpse of his wife -- naked, and the man also naked. He is devastated.

But suppose in his quick glimpse, he fails to see that his wife is crying, and the man on the bicycle is a rapist and intruder. What he saw, gave him a completely different idea of what was really happening. However the scene that he saw, bears a resemblance to a woman fooling around on her husband.

All Dr. Knowles was saying was that the burning of the shanty town bears a resemblance to Kristallnacht. That's all. In the case of Kristallnacht ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristalln… ) it was the government inciting the people to destroy the belongings of the Jews. He does not draw any conclusions about the shanty town burnings other than it bears a resemblance for the points that I mentioned, in the same way of the example that I gave you.

Can you understand this?

All I know is that Pinocchio's nose is getting longer when he feigned disappointment at Bahamar staff getting laid off. Hard to imagine after all these years of PLP banter about Bahamianisation that they have sold this country out to the biggest crooks they could find. Communists at that. Nothing short of treason.
