A FORMER police officer was found dead in Nassau's Central Police Station on Tuesday morning, hours after he was arrested for questioning in reference to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
According to reports, the victim, who The Tribune understands is Vernalcha Moss, a bus driver, died in police custody around 8am.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Stephen Dean said Mr Moss was found dead in the bathroom of the police station moments after asking to use the bathroom. He had no visible signs of trauma.
ACP Dean said the matter has been turned over to Her Majesty's Coroner for investigation.
Two men are fighting for their lives in hospital after they were shot multiple times on Monday night.
According to reports, shortly after 8.30pm, two men were at Shady Street when they were approached by a man who shot them multiple times before fleeing the area. The men were taken to hospital where they are listed in critical condition.
