A sudden and severe downpour flooded the streets of downtown Nassau on Wednesday afternoon, with water lapping up against the buildings along the stretch of Bay Street from Elisabeth Avenue to Deveaux Street. The drains were overwhelmed by the rain, which coupled with a high tide caused the water to gather.
