A blind eye to our changing nation

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Is the old Palm Hotel West Bay Street a Holiday Inn or a Courtyard Hotel?

Whoever knows, please call the Director General of Tourism cause she don’t know!

If she drove past the hotel, she would see who does!

Facts speak for themselves… after the purchase by the new owners they announced that it was to be a Courtyard but when Atlantis signed up with Marriott Reservations System, who own Courtyard, there was an announcement that the Palm then a Courtyard was going to be a Holiday Inn.

The property recently erected the Holiday Inn signs if the DG, Tourism cannot see.

It seems delusionalism is an infectious disease in the government.

One thing I learned in life...be truthful you don’t get embarrassed...as of late that seems all we are doing - Officials putting their proverbial foot in their mouths.

Tourism is critically ill... even cruise passenger arrivals are down.

The DG suggests that she would like to see visitors on Bay Street eating at the restaurants - she obviously doesn’t know the majority of the hotels are ‘all-inclusive food plans’ including Atlantis - meals PAID, Madam. Cruise passengers everything is paid for, except drinks so why come off the ships?

The Revs of the Bahamas Christian Council haven’t a clue what they are talking about... curfew just announce that and see whether the visitor count will drop. That announcement will hit the internet and bush crack tourists gone.

How many Revs have called a Police Station or a Senior Officer to make sure the little Johnny son of one of their church ladies who killed or robbed someone from being charged?

This should be an offence - interfering in police matters. I’m told this happens daily, politicians - Revs - VIP’s, etc, have a habit of doing this then scream on TV about crime!

I say lock them people up with the criminals as there is no difference.

Godson says...

In the words of Donald Trump, "OUR COUNTRY IS GOING TO HELL". He was referring to the USA but this is also the case in The Bahamas; hence, this is the reason for us all to become more POLITICAL in order to stop this downfall of Our Beloved Country.

All of what we are saying in our posts, in fact, goes to emphasizes THE NEED FOR ALL OF US BAHAMIANS TO GET POLITICAL. All eligible Bahamians need to register as soon as possible. That is the only we can be a part of change for a positive difference.

THIS TIME AROUND, THE NEED IS URGENT AND PRESSING FOR ALL BAHAMIANS TO 'GET POLITICAL' and REGISTER NOW for the next general election.

PLEASE GO AND REGISTER A.S.A.P and do more by encouraging others to do so as well. - Thank you.
