A man is in hospital under heavy police guard after being shot by an officer on Saturday night.
According to reports, shortly after 10:00pm, police were conducting an operation in the Wilson Tract area, when a man acting suspiciously entered a Nissan vehicle and attempted to drive off.
The officers surrounded the vehicle and ordered the driver out. The driver refused, put the vehicle in reverse and attempted to knock down one of the officers.
