A 21-year-old New Providence woman was discovered with a quantity of illegal drugs at the Grand Bahama International Airport yesterday morning.
According to police reports, around 10am US Customs and Border Protection officials searched the woman while in the US Pre-Clearance section and found 4.6 ounces of cocaine in her knapsack.
She was arrested and taken into custody by officers at the airport.
Inspector Terecita Pinder said the woman is expected to be formally charged in the Magistrate’s Court this week.
