CHILDREN and staff at Palmdale Primary School, Sandilands Primary School and St Anne’s School and were among those to put on red noses for the first ‘Red Nose Day’ in The Bahamas on Friday to help raise funds for the government’s National Lunch Programme, which provides lunch for many school students.

Red Nose Day was begun by the non-profit organisation, Comic Relief Inc, in the UK to assist projects that protect the wellbeing of children.

St Anne’s Primary School pupil Caden Smith, 11, with a desire to help stamp out hunger in her own country, started the drive’s launch in The Bahamas.

Palmdale Primary held a Special Assembly for ‘Red Nose Day’ to join in the initiative and allow the students give their support to the worthy cause.
