Canadian woman drowns while snorkelling in Exuma

AN ELDERLY Canadian woman drowned on Monday afternoon while snorkelling in waters off Exuma.

According to police, shortly after 3pm, a Canadian man and his wife were snorkelling near Steventon when the woman became unconscious. Despite extensive CPR efforts, the woman was pronounced dead by the local doctor.

The woman has been identified as 64-year-old Beverly Voice, of Nanoose Bay, Vancouver, in British Colombian.

Investigations are ongoing.
