EDITOR, The Tribune.
The past undemocratic behaviour by Hubert Minnis is simply counterproductive. The many mysterious manoeuvrings with the constituency associations especially before the last convention will eventually be his Achilies heel.
On Shenique Miller’s “The Conversation” Senator Lanisha Rolle, a Minnis senior cheerleader, viciously and disgracefully spoke of Mrs Butler-Turner in a way like she was a PLP. Senator Rolle in her passionate support risks “pissing off” other FNMs who are uncomfortable with Minnis.
The vicious attacks by Minnis’ surrogate Rolle on Loretta Butler Turner or anyone who dares to say anything about Minnis will not yield good fruit. It was clear that Senator Rolle was reading from a prepared statement.
What Rolle or Minnis cannot fathom is that if the FNM is to even be relevant in the upcoming election, he desperately needs for the FNM to be united. But the rookie senator, with little experience other than being a Minnis minion, does not understand politics or the Bahamian people.
If the FNM don’t want Butler-Turner and hate her as much as Senator Rolle displays, just kick her out in the street, and you will see, someone will have her, before you can count, 1, 2, 3.
I say to Senator Rolle, no one has to be in any organisation to be subjected to the ridicule that has been visited on Butler-Turner by her own party, and especially by you. If the FNM don’t need Butler-Turner, then do the best thing.
Life goes on after the FNM.
Finally, there are many hard core influential FNMs who are discussing not even registering this time. So the result would be the same as 2012. I sense there is a mass exodus from the FNM because of crude and crass behaviour like that of Senator Rolle.

I have to say. it amazes me the people that I see supporting Minnis. People I respect and admire. It is so frustrating. They all know and admit that he is not the best, they all pretty much admit he's lousy. but they say he's the leader and they will support him.
We have a little over a year and they have given up and will go with the failed leader.
Some say there is no way he could be worse than Perry.
Really?
Perry was an EXCELLENT leader of the opposition. He beat the FNM thru pure opposition.
As leader of the opposition Minnis gets a solid F-. No D. A F-.
Minnis obviously cannot control the FNM.
He obviously cannot get the respect he needs as leader from his own party.
So how can he control the Bahamas government or his own cabinet?
I say Minnis has the potential to replace Perry as worst PM of all time.
I see no advantage in replacing Perry Christie with Hubert Minnis.

FNM better wake up. Minnis cannot win. And why would we want him too?

Hold your convention, invite Bran and Brent to participate, hold elections and let the chips fall where they may . Whoever wins, the rest fall inline behind in support or, as Banker said, don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out!

LOL. Good riddance to the malcontents. Hope that LBT exits. Even Brent says that Minnis will win. Oh you sheeple and your market noise. This is getting funny now -- planting letters with names like Unda Cova. Hilarious.
