A MAN was held up and robbed of cash at gunpoint in Freeport on Thursday evening, police in Grand Bahama reported on Friday.

According to reports, the victim told police that shortly after 11pm he was at a business establishment on East Sunrise Highway when a man brandishing a handgun robbed him of cash and fled on foot.

The police are investigating the matter and are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact them at 350-3107 through 12 or 911 and 919 or the nearest police station.
