This past week, there were a lot of articles concerning Baha Mar – a lot of speculation and conjectures and I was wondering whether the government of The People’s Republic of China might have carried out an investigation as to why Baha Mar applied for protection under US Chapter 11 and subsequently applied to the Courts of The Bahamas for ratification of the US Chapter 11 Petition seeing that Baha Mar had presumably borrowed enough to cover everything?

$2.25 billion is a lot of money which EXIM loaned and one presumes the application took into consideration what was needed to complete the project and even open the project.

My question is - Did the Central Government of The People’s Republic of China carry out an investigative examination of what went wrong and what did they find?

I suggest the publication of a report of this kind would go a long way to bring more openness to the issues prevailing.

Mr Ambassador, we look forward to you releasing this report and confirm whatever action, if any, has transpired in China on whatever was found?
