EDITOR, The Tribune.
I believe we have arrived at a moment in time when all concerned with Baha Mar and The Pointe projects should restrain their comments and resolve their grievances in a more polite manner than what we are seeing published in the media.
Throwing comments at players in either project will not resolve anything actually if you think about it, it probably will cause more problems than we already have.
On one project, most parties have cases in courts, here, Delaware and London so please will the parties just stay quiet and make the least comment as joe public cannot adjudicate in your favour or against you so who is the noise benefiting?
The British Colonial property was for sale for years - a Bahamian group could easily have brought it but they didn’t - China State Americas acquired it and are investing $250m - at the end hundreds of Bahamians will have short and long term employment, either in the construction stage or after it is opened.
Baha Mar will be resolved and we all will celebrate - it might not be to the liking of some but be assured it will be resolved.
We collectively need to encourage all parties concerned to act with swift and resolve Baha Mar before we get into crazy season (elections) and Baha Mar becomes the election issue as the consequences of that could he catastrophic.
Baha Mar needs to be resolved by no better than Christmas, 2016 out of the way for the election campaign and all the nastiness that will come with that.
Silence is golden - patience is a gift......let’s hope for both.

No one has a problem with the Chinese buying if the Bahamians won't, what most of us have a problem with is our government cutting deals that leave Bahamians as spectators at the banquet.

The writer should realize the hurt, pain and death that the debacle has caused and is continuing to cause. So many people have been hurt and destroyed beyond repair and only the good Lord could intervene and make some alterations to make the shift in their lives.
We need to be fair in our judgement and transparent. Had the intervention of the powers that be were not so bias I believe we would have progressed tremendously!
