POLICE have launched an island-wide manhunt for the suspect responsible for a shooting that left a man in hospital on Tuesday.

Shortly after 10pm, police received a report that a man was walking on McQuay Street off Nassau Street when he was approached by a man armed with a firearm, who shot him before fleeing on foot. The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

An investigation is ongoing.
