PM warns of ‘danger’ of voting FNM

IN HIS last speech before thousands of voters turn out to the polls, Prime Minister Perry Christie last night said the Progressive Liberal Party will retain the government of The Bahamas, while urging Bahamians to vote in full force to shore up the fate of his party.

Warning Bahamians that a vote for the Free National Movement is “dangerous” because the organisation is vested in foreign interests, Mr Christie attempted to sell his party as a group that has made the big decisions to ensure the country’s progression.

Before beginning what could be his last speech as prime minister, Mr Christie broke out into the “Perry Shuffle” as the gathered crowd chanted his name.

“We know change is possible. We know big change is possible,” a confident Mr Christie told thousands of supporters at Clifford Park. “We know that we have the best team to bring the change this country needs.

“After Wednesday, we will be forming the next government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

“When you go to the polls you will know you are going to vote for the best team and you are going to know that it doesn’t take one man or one woman to lead the country, it takes a team.

“It takes a leader who is able to work with his team and it takes a team that is qualified and can work in unity together. A team that is qualified and that is your Progressive Liberal Party team.”

He also said: “Just make sure that you are voting PLP all the way tomorrow (today).

“Tomorrow with our votes we are going to decide whether our country is going forward with a brighter future or whether the clock will be turned back with a risky unstable party in debt to foreign special interests.”

Mr Christie said he felt good about the impending election results because during his campaign there were many Bahamians who said they expected the party to remain the government.

“I’m feeling good about tomorrow. When I spend time with people like you I feel good. When I watched coming in the airplane I said ‘Oh my God, the crowd, the crowd!’

“It’s been a good feeling for us as we campaigned across the country, we saw so many Bahamians who are living with the expectation and the anticipation that the Progressive Liberal Party will form the next government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

“We believe that the good work we have done is just now starting to have its impact.”

Mr Christie stressed to PLPs that when they go to the polls, a vote for the PLP is a vote for stability, as he painted the FNM as a fractured organisation.

Mr Christie also spoke to supporters at a rally in Grand Bahama last night before heading back to New Providence.

Vote for PLP is a vote for corruption, downgrade heavier taxes foreign over Bahamians lesser economy growth, devalue of our Bahamian dollar, Constitution law not being followed and the list goes on. A vote for PLP is a vote to drag the Bahamas into failure, pain and suffering

Before marking your ballot, please THINK!, THINK!!, THINK!!! Remember - vote for the best candidate regardless of their party affiliation. Let the chips fall where they may and let's all hope we end up with the best possible individuals serving in the next HOA no matter which side of the aisle they may sit. By THINKING you will help avoid a lopsided victory by either party. We cannot afford five more years of very weak opposition to the governing party whether it be PLP or FNM. Both the PLP and FNM parties are loaded with undesirable candidates - giving either of these two parties a lopsided victory by blindly voting along party lines (rather than voting for the best candidate no matter what their party affiliation may be) is a sure fire recipe for our country (and all Bahamian taxpayers) to continue being raped, pillaged and plundered by corrupt politicians. May the best Bahamian men and women offering to serve us for the next five years win on election day.

What's there THINK about? Four downgrades, high unemployment and massive corruption made a clear, distinct decision for everyone regardless of how stupid an individual might be!

Perhaps this will help you if you have not already voted or the next time you get the opportunity to vote in a general election:

There are a number of constituencies in which the FNM or PLP candidate is the better individual from the standpoint of competency and honesty.

Similarly there are a number of constituencies in which the PLP or DNA candidate is the better individual from the standpoint of competency and honesty.

And of course there are a number of constituencies in which the FNM or DNA candidate is the better individual from the standpoint of competency and honesty.

Many years ago after the FNM lost the 2002 election the police officers went to collect the government cars from MP's here in Freeport. I remember Mr. C.A. Smith crying and holding off from giving the government car to the police officers. But imagine Brave and Perry giving up those new cars they just got a few months ago, Lexus hummmm. We will know real soon heheheh

Pm Warns Of ‘Danger’ Of Voting FNM??

This dancing clown destroyed the country, ruined the largest single tourism investment in history of the hemisphere, destroyed the middle class, decimated the grass roots, cannot account for $1 Billion dollars of VAT funds and he's talking about "Danger of voting FNM"??

The only danger of voting FNM is him being exposed for what he has done over 5 years to bring the country and our people to their knees!

No more lawyers as politicians. Each and every PM were all lawyers and total failures.

Well mudda, the people thought, thought, thought, and when it was all said and done, they rejected a known corrupt government, and replaced them with a new government and Prime Minister (who you have said on numerous occasions is equally corrupt and money hungry). I think not, and I wish the new government every success, and the help of Almighty God, as they will need it, to sort us out of the mess that we have been left in.

I just hope The Bahamian people give the FNM time to clear up the mess left by this bunch of criminals. Things ain't gonna be easy for a while but at last we now have hope of a better future. I curse the PLP for all the destruction they have caused to our country these last five years. May they NEVER blight our lands again.

I am a proud Bahamian now. My brothers and sisters used their heads and chose well. The head of the poisonous PLP snake has been cut off. It is unfortunate that the ass of the snake won his seat but hopefully the entire snake will wither away and die with a beautiful green party rising up to take its place.
