FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a blaze at Potter’s Cay Dock after a container caught fire yesterday morning sending plumes of black smoke over the Paradise Island Bridge.

There were reports that one man was severely injured, suffering severe burns and being taken to Doctors Hospital. He is believed to have been transferring fuel by pump between trucks. Police Fire Chief Walter Evans confirmed to The Tribune that a team of firefighters were on the scene; however he could not provide further details.
