THERE was a significant drug seizure in North Bimini on Wednesday, resulting in the discovery of more than $300,000 worth of suspected marijuana, police reported.
According to Assistant Superintendent Terecita Pinder, officers were on routine patrol around 11pm in the area of King’s Highway when they observed a suspicious vehicle.
They stopped and searched the vehicle where they discovered nine nylon bags, each containing suspected marijuana, with an estimated street value of $340,000.
ASP Pinder said two male occupants of the car, who are residents of Bimini, were arrested and taken into custody.
The investigation continues.
