LOCAL tennis players Danielle Thompson, Larikah Russell and brother and sister Justin and Savannah Roberts got a chance to get in some quality fitness training yesterday from MacFit trainer Jimmy Mackey.

Thompson and Russell are preparing to represent the Bahamas at the American Zone II Fed Cup competition from July 18-21 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Russell is the player/coach, while Thompson is the number two seeded player behind Kerrie Cartwright. The other member of the team is Simone Pratt.

Justin and Savannah Roberts, both home from school, are working out to stay in shape.

Impact Tennis Academy, headed by Ricardo Demeritte, is facilitating the training sessions. However, Impact Tennis Academy, does not act as the manager/agent for Justin and Savannah.

Impact Tennis Academy is working closely with Thompson, Russell, Cartwright, Emma Weech and Kevin Major Jr in helping them with a non contractual agreement with their transition from the collegiate to the professional ranks.
